Is greeting strangers while running weird in Aussie? Yes it is
Today morning, I went on my first run along Swan bay or lake. I am not even sure if that is the right name but I will just call it that for now. It was very difficult to run because the air was very hard to breath. It is thick and very cold so I ran out of breath faster than usual. I learned something today. In the states, it is very common to great strangers when on a run especially in the morning. I am not sure if I just happen to pass by a couple of unsocial people or if it is the common thing here in Aussie, but I got a lot of surprised and strange looks when I said g’day to strangers. (Hah, ya I do say g'day. Trying to be Australian)I guess you do not great your fellow runners in Aussie. Good to know. I better stop before I end up looking like a creeper.
Its so FLUFFFFYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I’ll I can say is…. FREAKIN AMAZZZZZIINNNGGGGGGGG!!!! All the exchange students were taken to the Caversham Wildlife Park and we were able to pet and feed Kangaroos!!!!! The Roos are soooo funnnnnnnnyyyyyyyy! I feel like they are high all the time. They do not open their eyes fully and it looks like they are sleepy. They do not do much but lie around the grass, hop around, and eat from our hands. When they come up to you, they grab onto your hand and eat from it. At one point, I had 2 kangaroos holding onto my hand and 2 others gathered around me. Their fur is so fluffy and soft!!!!! At the park, there was also albino kangaroos. Pretty tight. Aye… I want a pet kangaroo. If I manage to find one, I wonder if my parents will care if I bring it home.

The Koalas were sleeping when I got to them. When they sleep, they grab onto the tree they are on and shove their face between a fork of branches. Maybe that is why their faces are so smashed.
The wombat was absolutely MASSIVE. Our tour guide lady was telling our group how it is very heavy, somewhere around 25 kilos (around 50 pounds). It looks like it is a lard ball but the majority of it is made of muscle. That’s intense. I thought it was a little gross because on its stomach you could see the wombat’s crotch and yah… you get the picture. http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
Farm Show
During the farm show, they showed us how a sheep dog herds sheep into a pen. It was pretty amazing. The sheep dogs are super smart! I wonder if I can teach Nala, my dog, to do that. I am not even going to wonder if Ben, my other dog, could do it. I already know his abilities. At least he is good looking. In the show, they also showed how they sheer sheep wool. I was pretty pissed off while watching this portion of the show. It looked like the sheep was very uncomfortable and I saw the sheep get cut a couple of times. I wanted to run up the stage and save the poor thing. Makes me think twice about wearing Uggs. Towards the end of the show they called up little kids to feed lambs. It was absolutely adorable!!!!!!
Coffee Crawl
Coffee crawl was super tight. My residential hall took a group of 30 of us to a coffee shop in the city. They paid for our drinks, which was pretty sweeeeeeeetttt. I got mocha. Big mistake. That was my second mocha here in Aussie and I realized that mochas really are not that yummy here. I think it is because they use chocolate powder instead of chocolate syrup. On the other hand, hot chocolate is pretty bomb. Maybe they use real chocolate bars? I do not know but that stuff might as well be a drug because it is addicting!!
Singaporeans
During the coffee crawl I got separated from the usual group of people I hang out with and ended up sitting with the Singaporeans. The Singaporeans are a group of people from… well, its self-explanatory. Apparently, it is common for Singaporeans to come to Aussie for their Bachelor degree. I am super surprised how well they all know English. They told me that in Singapore, everyone knows English and another language. Cool. Wish it was like that in America. Well, I think the Singaporeans are so cute. They are always together migrating from place to place. In my residence, they are referred to in the plural and as "the Singaporeans". It is common for my friends and I to say something like, "I played basketball with the Singaporeans" or "I ate lunch with the Singaporeans." heh
