I have been up since 3:30 AM, which is 12:30PM USA time. I am super jet lagged and I have been up watching the movie, The book of Eli. My plane ride here was not what I expected. At first I was prepared for the worst as soon as I found out I was seated in the middle of two bigger women but the plane ride only got better. I had a personal entertainment screen in front of my seat. I was able to play video games, pick and watch movies and shows from TV series, and listen to recordings of books. I slept for 11 hours so that took off a large portion of my flight time. The only complaint I have is that I was not able to finish my food. They brought me dinner but I was feeling a little home sick and did not feel like eating so I decided to save it for later. Soon after my decision, I fell asleep. When I woke up 5 hours later, my food was gone! I learned from my mistake, and as soon as they served me breakfast I ate everything on my tray. It was pretty good. I had egg with mushroom and tomato, yogurt, fruit, orange juice, and a biscuit. After 16 hours of flying, I landed in Melbourne. I was super confused on what I was supposed to do. I was not sure if they transferred my luggage to my next flight , or if I had to do it. Eventually after walking around and trying to figure stuff out myself, I asked one of the flight attendants and he led me to the right direction. After I picked up my bags, and checked them into my next flight, I waited for my transfer flight to Perth. As I waited, I watched the movie, “He is Just Not That into You” on my macbook. I am getting lazy to right so I am going to summarize my trip.
-Got off plane, went to baggage, thought about where was I suppose to meet the guy who was picking me up, he found me, asked me if I was Cindy, I said yes, went on a school bus with 1 other girl from Oregon, drove through Perth, looks like Oahu, man got a call, he left 1 girl at airport, we drove back to get her, then we once again drove though Perth, still looked like Oahu, he dropped me off first, I booked 2 nights in a hostel, I checked in, it was 3pm, my room is shared with 3 other girls, went to go look for my friend, she was in another room, I found her, She was sleeping, woke her up, we decided to meet at 10am the next morning, I paid $5 for 1 hour and 30 mins of internet, I called my mom and Jimmy, met one of the girls in my room, she is from Canada, she is nice, got tired, took a shower, didn’t eat dinner because I was to scared to go out into the city at night, ate gummy bears, I love gummy bears, went to sleep at 6PM, my lock did not fit on my cubby so I slept with my macbook and wallet underneath my blankets by my head. Woke up at 3:30 AM, discovered 2 other girls sleeping, 1 is Chinese, she has toothpaste in the bathroom that says black person on it in Chinese, watched a movie, watched the sunrise, now… I am waiting for my friend to wake up so we can go explore the city. The end!!!
